This beautiful native fissidens originates from Mount Glorious in Queensland. Based on our research, the scientific name of this is Fissidens Berteroi and it is also found in New Zealand. This suggests that it can withstand very cold temperatures.
It is a medium fissidens that is between the size of Fissidens Fox and US Fissidens. Unlike Fissidens Fox and US Fissidens, it does not have a pronounced phoenix feathers pattern. Instead, it has a more vertical growth pattern. It can grow very lush when grown under medium to high-intensity lighting. We love using it in our aquascape along with Fissidens Fox and US Fissidens to create a mosscape with different sizes of fissidens which has a stunning effect. Aquarzon originally obtained this fissidens from a highly experienced hobbyist in Australia and has grown this over a year. It is guaranteed to be free from worms, insects etc as it is grown fully indoor in our aquarium and had been treated by us when we first received it.
