Photo is showing a piece that Aquarzon is propagating. The portion for sale is around 3cm diameter (around 50 cents coin size) and will be loose fronds. When you receive them, you can attach the fronds to a rock which will be very nice.

As per Aquarzon's long term observation, one of the natural characteristics of this moss is that it grows rhizoids (moss roots). These rhizoids appear like dark fur but it is not BBA algae. It is its rhizoids (roots) that helps it to grip surfaces to grow.
In our propagation experience, this fissidens will grow more rhizoids if there are strands that are floating or have not yet attached to an object.

Fissidens Nobilis is a rare fissidens originating from Southeast Asia that has relatively big leaves that resemble the shape of palm tree leaves. It has pronounced rhizoids (moss roots) which can confuse some hobbyists into thinking that as BBA algae. We are currently unable to offer a larger portion size due to lack of propagated availability and slow growth rate. As we are able to have more propagated over the year, the portion size offered will be increased. Our Fissidens Nobilis was originally purchased from a very experienced local hobbyist and had been propagated by us over a year.
