If this moss is out of stock, we recommend Christmas Moss or Mini Christmas Moss as it is very beautiful and compact growing

The 1st photo is how a standard portion for sale is. The 2nd photo is showing a large clump, showing how Java Moss looks like when it has grown into large clump after long time growing in the aquarium.

Java Moss is the fastest-growing and easiest aquarium moss.

Due to its fast to very fast growth rate, it is also the cheapest and most commonly available moss in the aquarium hobby.

In terms of physical appearance, it does not grow compact like Peacock or Christmas Moss, but it can be useful for aquariums requiring a larger amount of moss at a lower and cheaper price.

Java Moss can be used to grow on the ground, attached to driftwood or stone. It can also be used to fill gaps and holes. They can be part of a jungle and rainforest aquascape.

Shrimps and small fishes including fish fry can hide between the fronds and strands of a large Java Moss clump. If a larger volume is required especially if the purpose is to provide shrimps and fish fry a refuge, several portions are recommended.

If Java Moss is out of stock, other great alternatives are Native Stringy Moss, Peacock Moss and Christmas Moss (product links below this listing).
