80+ Active Springtails Cleaning Crew for Terrarium & Paludarium + Free Bonus Food

The Springtails offered by Aquarzon are excellent to help keep terrariums and paludariums clean by consuming poop, mould, organics such as dead leaves. They work above water and cannot go underwater.

They are very easy to keep. The only 2 main requirements are a moist environment and something to eat (they can eat almost anything natural).

These are the same food we use to feed the springtail which maximise their growth and health

2) Free from pests 
We are very careful to seal the tubs and only occasionally open them for airing and for feeding to ensure they are no pests. Their tubs have no history of pests. The food they are fed is also free from pests. These are bred multiple generations without history of pests.

It is important to buy springtails with no pests introduced as these can harm your terrarium or paludarium. Once pests are introduced, it is usually hard to clear them out.


3) Very careful packaging with 4 layers of protection to maximise live arrival rate
We pack them very carefully with multiple layers of protection to ensure as many springtails as possible will arrive alive and healthy.

The standard shipping way is using just charcoal and plastic takeaway container to ship. However, unfortunately, this method causes many springtails to get crushed because the charcoal will shake a lot during shipping when the parcels gets handled by the Australia Post's or courier's automatic sorting machine and postie.

As such, what we do is to use multiple layers of protection which gives additional physical protection to minimise any kind of physical impact. Also, we use our own medium which helps avoid crushing issues. However, do note that some movements are inevitable because all parcels will go through Australia Post's or courier's automatic sorting machines and as such, there will be some that may arrive non-alive. This is inevitable but what we will do is to pack as carefully as possible with additional protection to ensure as many springtails as possible will arrive alive and healthy. 

Springtails are very small and like to hide so when you receive them, it might not be so easy to see all 80+ springtails. But we assure you that we will put in at least 80 springtails inside when we carefully pack them. 

When you receive them, you can open the container lid and leave the container overnight inside your terrarium for the springtails to exit the container.

Alternatively, after you open the container, you can turn it over and gently knock the container so that all springtails will jump out to your terrarium ground.
