This beautiful and extremely rare micro fern has been measured by Aquarzon as being around 3-4cm in average height.

It has a creeping growth habit and is best attached to a rock or wood. Its foliage is dark green in colour.

We recommend this unique micro fern as a special highlight fern plant either attached in the foreground or attached on a midground rock or wood structure. When it grows creeping, it gives a very natural and beautiful appearance.

Based on Aquarzon's current observations, this extremely rare micro Crepidomanes has a similar pattern to Crepidomanes K1 which is another micro Cepidomanes fern. However, we observe 3 main differences. The first difference is that it grows a bit bigger (3-4cm average height compared to 2-3cm average height for Crepidomanes K1 and its leaves are also wider. In terms of colour tone, it has darker green foliage whereas Crepidomanes K1 has bright green foliage. Besides that, it has pronounced central veins. We have a link below this listing to Crepidomanes K1 as a reference for our customers.

Both Crepidomanes 'Malabaricum II' and Crepidomanes K1 are beautiful and unique micro ferns that can complement one another in an aquascape. Since they have similar patterns but different max heights and differences in colour tones, they can be used in the same aquarium to create more unique details and depth. For example, the Crepidomanes K1 can be attached to a foreground rock and the Crepidomanes 'Malabaricum II' can be attached to a midground rock.

This micro fern can grow both in submersed and emersed conditions which makes it a suitable unique micro fern for both aquariums and terrariums/paludariums. Our current stock has been aquarium submersed-grown to make it very easy to transition to customers' aquariums.

Our original specimen was purchased from a highly experienced hobbyist in Australia. We propagate more than 15 types of ferns and we put a high priority in correct labeling of our fern species.
