Mini Christmas Moss is rare and very beautiful moss that grow very compact. This is excellent for aquascapes which would benefit from a very compact growing moss. It is perfect for attaching to driftwood (including to make Bonsai trees) or to rocks. You could just attach it to a rock or stone using aquarium-safe superglue and put it on the substrate. 

The moss we are growing is what is believed to be the true Mini Christmas Moss and not the standard Christmas Moss. Years ago, we purchased the original specimen from a highly reputable hobbyist in Australia who had all 3 mosses (Christmas, Mini Christmas and Mini Taiwan Moss), then continuously observe it as it grows over a year to double confirm it. We also purchased a secondary specimen and grew it for several months to observe the growth and compared it to the standard Christmas Moss.

Many Mini Christmas Moss / Mini Xmas Moss sold or traded in Australia is unfortunately accidentally mixed up with Christmas Moss or Mini Taiwan Moss as their differences are not overly significant especially if there are no specimens to compare against. Mini Christmas Moss and Mini Taiwan Moss, for example, can look quite similar.
