This listing is for the large version (8cm width) of the aquarium snail trap which is designed to trap snails and worms including planaria.
Worms such as planaria can be a problem to shrimps as they can harm baby shrimps or shrimps which are moulting as carnivores. Some snails in excess amount can be a problem for planted aquariums and this trap can help to reduce the amount.
To use it this aquarium snail and worm trap, remove the top cover and just put some fish or shrimp food in the middle part column, then close the cover back. After some hours, if you see snails or worms gathered on or inside the trap, just remove them. You can leave it overnight as well.Â
Optional: You can also run your own nylon string through it if you like so that when you are ready to pull it out, you can do so without dipping your hands into your aquarium water.
It is made of acrylic and is 100% aquarium-safe.
