These Quartz Crystal Clusters are aquarium-safe and are very stable.
As per Aquarzon's research, Quartz is basically a crystalline form of silicon dioxide (SiO2). It is a compound of 1 part silicon and 2 parts of oxygen.
Quartz is virtually insoluble in water at room temperature.
Under normal circumstances, it easily takes hundreds of years (if not thousands of years) for a Quartz Crystal cluster to 'erode' away.
As a matter of fact, quartz/silicon dioxide/silica is the primary compound of glass including aquarium tank glass. It is mentioned that around 90% of manufactured glass is made of around 70% silica/silicon dioxide (the compound of quartz).
