Corkscrew Vallisneria is one of the smallest Val species which grows to only around 20cm in height usually.

This makes it one of the very few Val which is suitable to be planted as a midground to background plant in nano and small tanks or as a foreground to midground plant in a larger tank.

This beautiful and smaller Val variety has also a unique spiralling leaves pattern

Aquarzon recommends this plant for aquascapes requiring a vertically growing plant with unique spiralling leaves. It is best positioned in the midground region of large aquarium tanks and ideally positioned in the background region of a small/nano aquarium tank.

There is some uncertainty as to the scientific name of this specific species. Some sources lists it as Vallisneria sp. "Torta"/ Vallisneria Tortifolia while Aquasabi believes it is more probably Vallisneria Asiatica var. Biwaensis. Regardless, the consensus though is that this is a well-appreciate smaller variety of Val with unique spiralling leaves.

As with all Val, Aquarzon would like too highlight to our customers that products containing glutaraldehyde can negatively affect Val. Products that contain
glutaraldehyde includes Seachem Excel, liquid carbon and BBA remover algaecides.

This plant grown by Aquarzon is 100% aquarium submersed grown indoor and is very clean, free from weeds and outdoor pests. It is not tissue culture or emersed grown stock which can suffer transitional melting issues when planted in an aquarium. Our indoor submersed grown stock is in very healthy condition and ready to be planted straight in an aquarium.
