BUCE BROWNIE PHANTOM MINI CLUMP SIZE

Clump Portion Size :
3cm, 4cm, 5cm, 6cm, 7cm or 8cm diameter clump, depending on option selected

As a general estimation:

3cm mini diameter clump is around 50 cents coin diameter size and usually has roughly 20-25 leaves
4cm small diameter clump usually has roughly 35-45 leaves
5cm medium diameter clump usually has roughly 55-70 leaves (this is ideal size to create a very beautiful clump appearance on a more affordable budget)
6cm medium-large diameter clump is almost palm size and usually has roughly 80-100 leaves
7cm large diameter clump is around palm size and usually has roughly 110-135 leaves
8cm XL diameter clump is usually larger than palm size and usually has roughly 140-175 leaves (this is ideal for epic appearance)

You can select your desired size before clicking Add to Cart

We will try our best to provide your desired clump size as a single clump but it depends on availability.
Sometimes, it may consist of a few separate clumps put together, especially for sizes 5cm and above.

We will use a ruler when packing to ensure that you will get the portion equivalent size that you selected. These are natural plants so the Buce clump will not be perfectly rounded as every clump is naturally slightly different. So for example, if you select around 5cm diameter clump, The Bucephalandra clump may be 6cm length and 4cm width clump (the surface area is equivalent to 5cm diameter clump).

Rest assured that we will pack it very carefully with multiple protections to ensure it arrives to you in safe and good condition (Aquarzon uses 5-6 layers of comprehensive protection - moist serviettes, plastic container, zip seal plastic, bubble wrap providing temperature insulation, hard shipping box for physical protection & water-resistant satchel or similar)

Portion Type: Most are submersed for around quarter to one year or more

BUCEPHALANDRA SPECIES INFO:

Bucephalandra Brownie Phantom Mini is a mini leaves Buce species with naturally small leaves.

It is one of the most beautiful mini/small leaves variety Bucephalandra.

Aquarzon observes this species as having small, dark oval mini shaped leaves which are usually slightly narrow and darker tone.

In our comparison observations, this species is slightly bigger than Bucephalandra Lamandau Mini.

It is a really beautiful, small leaves Buce species that can be positioned in the foreground or midground and best attached to a rock or wood.

Due to its small leaves, it is excellent to be used to create depth and add details to an aquascape.

Bucephalandra Brownie Phantom Mini creates a spectacular effect as a clump. We recommend choosing a size of at least 5cm diameter clump for a great clump effect. It is very beautiful and gorgeous.

Bucephalandra is naturally a slow growing plant like Anubias so if starting off with a clump like 3cm diameter, it can take many months to reach a 5cm diameter clump size.

USEFUL INFO:

Aquarzon will pack the clump very carefully to ensure it is safely delivered to you. We use 5-6 layers of protection which provides comprehensive protection (locks moisture, provides physical protection and temperature insulation).

When it is transitioning to your aquarium which is a new environment for it, it is very normal for a Bucephalandra clump to have a bit of melting on some leaves, etc. This is normal and not a cause of concern.  The clump is currently submersed with CO2 with GH at around 5 and KH at around 3. When aquarium conditions are different (especially if it is going to be moved into a tank with different water parameters/lighting levels or a low tech tank without CO2 addition), the Bucephalandra needs to transition and adapt to its new condition. During the process, it can shed some leaves. To put into perspective, a high tech tank usually has CO2 at around 30ppm. But in a low tech tank, the natural CO2 availability (dissolving into the water from the air) is usually at just around 1-3ppm. This is a difference of 10-30 times. So this is one example of why it needs to adapt itself to its new environment of which during the adaptation/transitioning process (which usually takes a few weeks), it is normal for it to shed some leaves, etc.

As long as it gets sufficient lighting and nutrients in a cycled tank, its rhizomes which is the integral part of a Bucephalandra will remain strong and the Buce will grow new leaves steadily which are fully adapted to your aquarium conditions and water parameters.

While Bucephalandra is totally fine and suitable for low tech tanks, it is always best to ensure it gets sufficient light and nutrients. Nutrients can be supplied through liquid fertilisers.
