Aquarzon Honest Information
Aquarzon believes in helping our customers make the correct and informed buying decisions. As such, we would like to explain the advantages and disadvantages of test strips.
When it comes to aquarium test liquid test kit VS test strip kit, there are advantages of disadvantages of each.
The disadvantage of aquarium test strip kits is that it is not as accurate as liquid test kits.
Another disadvantage is that you must always ensure the bottle is close tightly after using as constant exposure to air can reduce its accuracy. This is because air contains moisture which can slowly get onto the test strips.
The advantage of test strip kits like this though is that it is very fast to use (literally takes around 1 minute) and you are able to get measure 6 water parameters at once.
As for liquid test kits, it takes much longer time to use especially if testing 6 aquarium water parameters separately (on this aspect alone, it takes around 6 times longer time). When using liquid test kits, it also usually involves shaking, waiting for the mixture to mix, etc which takes even more time.
So instead of say 1 minute to test with the 6-in-1 test strip, it can take perhaps 10 minutes to test via 6 differrnt liquid tests.
Also, buying 6 liquid tests costs very much more compared to buying just a single bottle of 6-in-1 test strip kit.
So at the end of the day, what is best for you would depends on your needs.
If your prlority is speed, ease and cost while willing to sacrifice some accuracy, test strips are generally the better option.
But if accuracy is the priority, then liquid tests are generally the better option of the two.
