This aquarium filter inflow inlet protector which Aquarzon order direct from the manufacturer is made of quality stainless steel mesh which is very fine, fine enough to protect and guard baby shrimp and fish fry from getting sucked into the aquarium filter.

We had used these for our fish (guppy) and shrimp tanks and ever since using them, there had been no shrimplets or fish fry sucked into our aquarium filter.

This aquarium filter intake protector also helps prevent dead plant leaves and debris from getting sucked into your aquarium filter which can clog your filter system overtime which then negatively reduces water flow which is important for oxygen circulation and nutrient circulation which is important for maintaining healthy plants, fish and shrimp in a planted aquarium tank. 

It can connect to the inflow inlet of most aquarium filters including canister filters and hang on filters but please check that the size of your filter inflow inlet to ensure that it can fit well to this protector has an internal diameter 1.2cm or 1.6cm, depending on the choice you select.
