Cardamine Japonica Var is an uncommon, very beautiful creeping plant that can grow slight pinkish leaves especially when grown under high lighting intensity.

Aquarzon measured the leaves and majority are usually between 1-2cm width.

Unlike standard pennywort, this plant has more unique shape leaves that is bigger and with more character. 

This rare plant became popular from 2025 and is highly in demand. This plant is not to be confused with Cardamine Lyrata which is a different plant and is not a creeper (this other plant does not grow creeping and instead grows vertically).

Unlike a lot of Cardamine Japonica stock sold which are emersed grown and prone to melting, Aquarzon's stock is 100% quality submersed grown which is stronger and avoids transitional melting issues.

Aquarzon recommends Cardamine Japonica to be positioned in the foreground or midground of the aquascape. It can be used to creep down on rocks or wood (for natural effect) or planted into substate.

This plant grown by Aquarzon is 100% aquarium submersed grown indoor and is very clean, free from weeds and outdoor pests. It is not tissue culture or emersed grown stock which can suffer transitional melting issues when planted in an aquarium.
