Limnophila Hippuroides is a beautiful and large showy stem plant that can grow purple and green coloured leaves. Each stem can grow wide (6cm+) and over time, it can grow to the surface of the aquarium, making it a great background plant.
It is best used in an aquascape that needs a background plant that needs an attractive purple and green mix coloured large stem plant. To maintain good purple colours, higher lighting intensity is recommended. This plant can remain healthy and grow fine in medium lighting intensity but new leaves would be more green.
The mixture of purple and green colours creates a beautiful eye-catching contrast.
Our Limnophila Hippuroides have good purple and green colours and would look beautiful right out of the box and straight into an aquarium. It is grown in our aquarium with good lighting and complete fertilisation.
It is not grown emersed. Any emersed grown stock of Limnophila Hippuroides is likely to suffer transitional melting issues and would also be ordinary pure green instead of having beautiful nice purple and green colours.
This plant grown by Aquarzon is 100% aquarium submersed grown indoor and is very clean, free from weeds and outdoor pests. It is not tissue culture or emersed grown stock which can suffer transitional melting issues when planted in an aquarium. Our indoor submersed grown stock is in very healthy condition and ready to be planted straight in an aquarium.
