Ludigia Mini Super Red is one of the most intense red aquarium plant and also one of the easiest aquatic stem plant to be able to develop redcolouration. While most red stem plants require high intensity lighting to develop red colouration, this Ludwigia Mini Super Red is able to develop red colouration on its leaves with just medium lighting intensity. This is one of the very few plants that can maintain at least some form of redness in low tech tanks as long as there is medium lighting intensity available This plant grows small and rounded shaped leaves.
It is best used in an aquascape that needs an intense red background plant. It can also be used as a midground plant if trimmed. A very beautiful contrast can be created when positioned next to a bright green stem plant such as Myriophyllum Mattogrosense which we also propagate.
Our Ludwigia Mini Super Red have very good red colouration and would be a beauty right out of the box and straight into an aquarium. It is grown in our aquarium with good lighting and complete fertilisation. It is not grown emersed (emersed grown stock would not be red but would be very plain green instead).
This plant grown by Aquarzon is 100% aquarium submersed grown indoor and is very clean, free from weeds and outdoor pests. It is not tissue culture or emersed grown stock which can suffer transitional melting issues when planted in an aquarium. Our indoor submersed grown stock is in very healthy condition and ready to be planted straight in an aquarium.
