Green Jade cherry shrimps is a relatively new cherry shrimp breed that is relatively rare compared to Blue Dream cherry shrimps and other cherry shrimps.
Unlike Blue Dream cherry shrimps, the juvies of Green Jades have very little colour and will only develop most of their green colouration when they become full adults. Therefore, it is very normal if juvies appear to be quite clear or just have very little green colouration.
When Green Jade cherry shrimps mature into full adults, their true beauty can be seen. They can develop green colouration which can be solid and can vary in tones from lime green to deep green.
The price of Green Jades are currently the highest among cherry shrimps at the moment as they are relatively new, less common and much lower in availability compared to all other cherry shrimps including Blue Dreams, Bloody Mary, Fire Reds, Black, Snowball, Sunkists, Yellow and Rili cherry shrimps.
Our Green Jades colony have very good genes. We have top-grade females as part of the colony (as can be seen from some of the photos here) and we separate low grade and culls away from the main colony from time to time. Our Green Jade colony has not been mixed with any other type of cherry shrimps and has been kept on their own from their beginning.
