The Anchor Moss grown by Aquarzon was originally purchased from a very reputable hobbyist in Australia. It is a fairly new and relatively rare moss in Australian aquarium hobby and not much is known about it. Based on our several months of observations, we observed it as having a has a creeping / anchoring growth pattern, is fairly light green in foliage tone and has a slightly rough texture. It has a medium to slow growing speed. It is understood to be a moss with high variance in appearance based on lighting intensity and exposure in an aquarium. When it is not exposed to high-intensity lighting, it has a greater tendency to be fairly leggy. We will continue observe it for any pattern changes etc in the coming months as temperature changes.
Aquarzon had also purchased a moss sold as "Anchor Moss" from another source in Australia via an online marketplace and it has been growing differently from all the main characteristics of what a real Anchor Moss should be. It is highly likely to be a different moss which is why it is important to purchase mosses from reputable and experienced sources that you can trust.
