This is a very beautiful vertical-growing and compact growing moss which Aquarzon originally obtained the initial specimen as part of a trade. We were informed that this is a native moss.
Over a period of more than one year of observation, we noticed that at times, it can look very similar to Flame Moss and at times, it can look different by growing more compact and thicker leaves, besides having more uniformity and symmetry when growing under high-intensity lighting.

This moss has a vertical and "flaming" growth pattern which is very beautiful especially when used as a background moss. It can look similar to the usual Flame Moss but has the difference of having the tendency to grow more compact and thicker leaves. Under high-intensity lighting, it also has the tendency to grow in a more symmetrical and uniformed pattern compared to the usual Flame Moss as can be seen from the photos Aquarzon took here.

To maintain the integrity of this moss propagated by us, we continuously observe and discard any possible moss mix up contamination so our customers can be assured they will definitely be receiving actual propagated stock of this moss and not the standard Flame Moss which can be easily mixed up.
