The Red Ramshorn snails offered here are very healthy. Some may have some white lines / natural blemish on their shells which is normal.

These Red Ramshorn snails are more beautiful than the common Brown Ramshorn snails. 

Unlike those sold in pet chain stores, which are kept in mixed water (susceptible to disease), our stock is kept in dedicated aquariums with their own filters, preventing cross-contamination.

By buying here, you can be assured they are very healthy and free of disease.

We also provide them ideal water parameters, calcium (via powder and cuttlefish bone) and nutritious food (including premium spirulina algae wafer) for great health and nice colours.

In our experience, they generally do not eat healthy plants unless they are starving would not occur usually in a planted aquarium. They usually eat algae, organics, dead leaves and excess fish and shrimp food, making them a good clean up crew in an aquarium.

Breeding Tips

The key to breeding these Ramshorn snails is to ensure that there is sufficient and constant food supply for them. They can eat dead leaves, blanched spinach and sinking fish food as well as shrimp food. At the same time, try to ensure not to have overexcess of food as this can pollute your aquarium water. The key is to have sufficient food on a constant basis, but not overexcess.
