About Aquarzon Premium Stainless Steel Mesh

Aquarzon premium quality aquarium-grade stainless steel wire mesh offered by Aquarzon is excellent for attaching mosses, Bucephalandra, Anubias, ferns, epiphyte-type plants and other small freshwater plants.

It is made of 100% stainless steel (aquarium grade) and it is freshwater aquarium-safe.

Aquarzon specially selected these various sizes directly from the manufacturer and chose the thickness and mesh hole size based on the experience of growing many different aquarium plants.

In our experience, if the mesh hole is too big, it is not ideal for attaching many small plants as there is less surface area for the plant to grip as they grow. It is not so easy to attach small plants on the mesh if the mesh holes are too big. On the other hand, if the mesh hole is too small, it can restrict water flow at the base which is not good for the plant. As for the wire thickness, if it is too thin, it is not durable and the ends can be very sharp which is not so safe.

All the different aquarium stainless steel mesh sizes we offer here have that same wire thickness and the same uniform mesh hole size which we feel are ideal for aquarium plants, so we hope it will make choosing an easier process for you.

Functions

For moss: It is great for attaching and creating a moss carpet on your aquarium foreground area. As it easily sinks, it keeps mosses nicely in place.

For epiphyte-type plants: It is great for attaching Bucephalandra, Anubias and ferns to help them grow into beautiful clumps. The holes between the wire mesh enable roots to grow through it so that access nutrients from the substrate while keeping the rhizome above the substrate to prevent rhizome-rot issues since the rhizomes can rot if buried.

For small plants: It is also good for attaching small plants such as Micranthemum Monte Carlo, pennywort, etc. to keep it down and for easy repositioning  

How to Use

You can use Aquarzon premium aquarium-safe superglue and stainless steel tweezers to attach the plants to the stainless steel wire mesh, Alternatively, you can use nylon string to manually tie if you prefer. Using aquarium-safe superglue is much easier and faster. The Aquarzon premium aquarium-safe superglue is listed below this listing and it has a very thick gel-type consistency for easy attaching.
