Bolbitis Heteroclita is rare mini type Bolbitis and is not to be confused with Bolbitis Heteroclita "Difformis" which has narrow leaves. Based on our observations, this mini Bolbitis has broad and unique crumpled leaves pattern. The crumpled pattern can be described as ribbed and hammered, similar to Philippines Fern. This plant also has a unique growth characteristic of having mature leaves that usually display a symmetrical 3 pointed tips pattern (one tip pointing upwards, one tip pointing towards left and one tip pointing towards right),

It does not grow tall and is therefore is a great choice as a special midground feature plant. It is also great for smaller aquariums such as smaller fish and shrimp tanks.

The Bolbitis Heteroclita that we propagate is 100% Bolbitis Heteroclita that grows smaller than the common Bolbitis.

It is a very slow growing plant and in our aquarium with high intensity lighting and Co2, it only grows on average around one leaf every few weeks, Therefore, we have very limited availability for this plant.
