Micranthemum Monte Carlo is a foreground carpeting plant that from our experience is the easiest carpeting plant to grow in all tank types. Due to its small leaves, it is suitable in both large fish tanks and small nano shrimp tanks. This plant stays low and has a creeping, carpeting growth habit.
Aquarzon recommends this plant for hobbyists looking for a carpeting foreground plant as its one of the much easier to grow carpeting plants. Besides being undemanding, it is also very beautiful.
Our stock is guaranteed free from pests such as dragonfly larvae etc. It may be emersed or submersed, depending on available growing space. It generally transitions much better than tissue culture stock.
In the past, Hemianthus Callitrichoides 'Cuba' (HC) used to be the most popular carpeting plant when it was popularised by Takashi Amano's Iwagumi aquascapes. However, as it was quite a demanding plant that requires CO2 and high lighting levels to thrive, hobbyists started looking for an easier alternative. Micranthemum Monte Carlo is now currently the most popular foreground carpeting plant as it can do very well even in non-CO2 tanks as long as the lighting is sufficient (around medium level of lighting or higher).
This listing is for 2 portions (each portion is around 5cm diameter round).
