Hymenasplenium Obscurum is a unique-looking fern that can grow fully aquatic. It was previously erroneously known as Crepidomanes Auriculatum or Asplenium cf. Normale. The ID of Hymenasplenium Obscurums was made by Prof. Dr. R. Viane (Ghent, Belgium).Â
This uncommon fern can be a stunning addition to an aquascape with its beautiful pattern leaves.
Aquarzon likes this fern's ability to grow many new babies from its base and the tips of its leaves. Over time, it would grow very beautiful medium-size bushes and give that really beautiful forest look which is our favourite aspect of this plant. This forest effect can be seen from the photos we have taken here which is the actual Crepidomanes Auriculatum propagated and growing in our aquascape.
Aquarzon's Hymenasplenium Obscurum is quality aquarium propagated stock, grown over more than a year and are free from weeds, BBA, Green Spot Algae (GSA) and green hair algae. It is not outdoor emersed grown.Â
The photos below carry its old aquarium trade name but they are of the same plant. The updated name as stated in the listing title and description is Hymenasplenium Obscurum.Â
