Bolbitis Heudelotii which is also known by the name African Water Fern and Congo Fern is an easy and strong background plant that is perfect to create the natural jungle river appearance. It can grow large and semi-translucent leaves

Aquarzon recommends using this fern along with other ferns, mosses, Anubias and Bucephalandra to create the complete jungle and forest aquascape.

Besides the jungle and forest aquascape, this fern is also popularly used in island style scape whereby the Bolbitis is positioned towards the back and near the driftwood which is usually located at the middle.

If this African Water Fern is being used to create an African biotope, it can be complemented with Anubias which is also originating from Africa.

Bolbitis Heudelotii is a string and easy plant that does not require Co2 injection. It is completely fine in low light aquarium tanks, making it a very beginner-friendly and low maintenance aquarium plant.
